Grab this stem of ragwort, O human and let the wind carry you into a world of whimsy. I tell you now, if you like your little folk friendly and fun, Poppy Palin’s Waking the Wild Spirit Tarot is the deck for you.
Come, come, see the spirit of the Wild Harvest rise above the poppies and shasta daisies, a spiral firm in her belly. Framed half by water, half light, she stands over a basket of ripened fruits. Here, let me pick the dandelion seed from your hair with a long finger. Now, it is time to see the Fortune Teller - make haste. She knows you, with that gentle look deep into your very soul and there’s murmurings from Black Shuck, lying so calm at her feet. What’s this? You are destined to buy a pack of cards - yes, we fairy folk are cheeky - and this, perhaps, is the vibrant deck that’s due to jump into your life.
Now, I can tell you, you won’t forget it, but if you don’t believe me ask the Dream Weaver, your elder. She holds a knowledge deep and roaring as the sea, an ancestral wisdom that hushes secrets in ears like the whisper of shells. Be you a new reader, needing the keyword at the bottom of each card - or a cardslinging expert who simply fancies a new portrayal of Majors to explore, this deck draws you through a colourful adventure filled with folkloric flavour.
